AAPL:
Wednesday the stock traded up for the day and closed at ($29.46) plus
(+.48c) . Last night after the close the Co Reported their financial results
for its fiscal 2004 third quarter ended June 26, 2004. Q3 (Jun) earnings of
$0.17 per share, excluding $0.01 charge, came in $0.02 better than the
consensus of $0.15; revenues rose 30.4% year/year to $2.01 bln vs the $1.94
bln consensus. Company issues in line guidance for Q4 (Sep), sees EPS of
$0.17-0.18, ex items, vs. consensus of $0.17, and revs of $2.1 bln, vs
consensus $2.04 bln. IPod shipments were 860,000, consensus 876,000, with
estimates ranging from 810,000 to 910,000. After-hours activity; MOM
research Admins took notice that some muscle players started slowly
buying-up the stock right after the close on high volume. The stock then
started to run up where first call players got the news before it hit the DJ
news wire forcing the stock moved to the upside. MOM research Admins
alerted
our members of a long trigger at $29.60-70 area. The stock then exploded to
the upside to hit $30.72 before pulling back on a knee-jerk reaction to the
earning post to then bottom at 28.71 before bouncing and rocketing back up
top out at $31.70 into and during the Co's, earnings conference call.

our members that the stock would pull back then run into the conference
calls the Q& A session and did. The stock finished the post market session
at $31.55. Let take a technical look at the numbers for today's trading.
Above $31.75 with conformation @ $31.90 the stock can make an upside move to
$32.31, $32.51 then $32.77 providing the futures are moving to the upside
from the pre-market open at 8:00 am ET into the 9:30 market open. If so
other upside numbers are $33.00 with conformation at $$$$ the stock can run
to $$$$ then $$$$.
Look for a short trigger at $31.42 with conformation at $31.18 the stock can
slide to see $31.08 then $$$$

and our music-based revenue grew an incredible 162 percent. We've got a

year.""We were very pleased with our 30 percent year-over-year revenue
growth and our operating margin expansion," said Peter Oppenheimer, Apple's
CFO. "Looking ahead to the fourth quarter of fiscal 2004, we expect revenue
of about $2.1 billion and earnings per diluted share of $.16 to $.17,
including $.01 per diluted share in restructuring charges."
Thursday the 15th– At 8:30 ET
Jobless Claims number will be posted, Consensus 345K,
New jobless claims plunged 39,000 in the week ended July 3 to 310,000,
bringing the 4-week moving average to 336,000.
NY Empire State Index number will be posted– consensus 26.0,
The empire state manufacturing survey remained unchanged in June as the
general conditions index amounted to 30.2, a level consistent with healthy
growth.
Business Inventories number will be posted– consensus 0.5%,
Business inventories increased 0.6 percent in April, with manufacturers'
inventories rising 0.5 percent, retail trade inventories increasing 1.1
percent, and wholesale trade inventories dipping 0.1 percent.
Producer Price Index number will be posted– consensus 0.2%,
The producer price index jumped 0.8 percent in May after posting a nearly as
large 0.7 percent hike in April. Both food and energy price hikes
contributed to the spurt.

Industrial Production number will be posted,
consensus 0.0%, capacity utilization rate consensus 77.7%; The index of
industrial production increased 1.1 percent in May after a 0.8 percent hike
in April, continuing a healthy production growth path.
12:00 ET
Philadelphia Fed Survey number will be posted,
The Philadelphia Fed's business outlook survey showed healthy growth in June
as the general conditions index increased to 28.9 from a level of 23.8 in
May. Also the
Credence Systems Analyst Meeting; Belden Annual Meeting of Shareholders will
be hel today.
Globex futures have been trending to the upside across the board from 1:00
am ET.
